take a bowl to combine 3 parts olive oil, 1 part white wine vinegar, and 1 part fresh lemon juice. Stir the mixture properly and pour it in a clean spray bottle. Take a soft, clean cotton towel, spray a little bit of the lemon oil polish on the towel, and rub it in a circular motion over the furniture; for wooden furniture, go in the same direction as the grain. In the end, take a dry, clean towel and wipe the oil off the furniture.
Tip #7: Occasionally, leather sofas require a thorough cleaning. For this, you can prepare a homemade leather cleaner with white vinegar and linseed oil. Take one part of white vinegar and two parts of linseed oil in a bottle and shake the mixture vigorously. Pour a little mixture into a soft piece of cloth and then rub this cloth in circular motions over all the surfaces of the sofa. Let the cleaning solution settle on the leather surface. Next morning, buff the leather surface with a dry rag. This will bring back the natural shine of the sofa.
If purchasing "green" furniture is important to you there are questions you can ask to determine just how environmentally friendly your furniture piece is. For example, find out if any of the wood used in the construction of your furniture piece was responsibly harvested. It is also important to know if glues and finishes that may contain toxins were used. Many furniture manufacturers use nails in place of glue to reduce the toxins and finishes are often low VOC stains. Foam stuffing can also emit toxins into the air. Therefore, some furniture manufacturers are offering upholstered products that have been stuffed with natural material such as buckwheat or recycled foam. Keep in mind that imported products do not always meet the same green standards we have come to expect in the U.S.
Neo classic furniture spell minimal from nook and cranny. Dominated by monochromes and simplicity, this style of furniture uses minimum space. To paint this kind of furniture at home, stick to one theme of colors. If your walls are white, pick any one color and use that for most of your furniture. Less artwork and more plain usage of colors is the overall look that dominates this furniture design. You can experiment with a few concentric designs while painting this style of furniture. Neutral shades such as white, black, and gray go well with this theme.
